Rebecca Bates
Director
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
Bec graduated from the University of Queensland in early 2009 with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology. She worked with the Department of Education, Queensland, early in her career, helping students with 'Special Needs in Communication' access the curriculum. Bec married her Gunnedah-born husband in Toowoomba, QLD, before they moved to Quirindi to raise a family and grow her private practice. In 2019, Bec decided to established NEST Allied Health, to attract Allied Health clinicians to regional NSW and build a dynamic interdisciplinary team. Bec believes in unlocking individual potential so that children can interact confidently with their learning environments, and grow into inspired, connected citizens. Rebecca's special interests include literacy learning for children with auditory processing difficulties.
Hannah le Roux
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
Hannah graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology. After graduation, Hannah returned to her hometown of Quirindi where she joined the NEST Allied Health team. Hannah's passion for improving access to health services for people living in regional and rural areas has seen NEST expand it's services to include the Narrabri outreach clinic. Hannah relocated to live with her husband in Port Macquarie in 2022. Hannah has a special interest in the management of swallowing and communication disorders for elderly people living in Residential Aged Care Facilities and holds a Certificate III in Aged Care.
